WASHINGTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Deepwatch, a leading provider of intelligence-driven managed security services, announced today that Jeremy Bash, Managing Director, Beacon Global Strategies and former chief of staff at the U.S. Department of Defense and the Central Intelligence Agency, has joined its board of directors.

“We’re excited to have Jeremy join our board. He’s a trusted advisor to many global technology companies and is a well-regarded, accomplished expert on modern security challenges,” said Charlie Thomas, CEO of Deepwatch.

Mr. Bash has spent over 20 years advising national leaders and chief executives on a range of strategic, management, legal, and policy issues. His clients include America’s leading companies in the areas of tech, defense, finance, security, and aerospace. He is a recognized expert on national security affairs, serving as National Security Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC where he provides commentary and analysis on North Korea, China, Iran, NATO, U.S. counterterrorism operations, cybersecurity, and current counterintelligence investigations.

Deepwatch is changing the security landscape with its innovative platform and solutions,” said Mr. Bash. “I’m honored to join the board, and I look forward to participating in the company’s continued growth and success.”

In April, Deepwatch announced its spinout and rebranding from GuidePoint Security, as well as the closing of a USD $23 million Series A funding round led by ABS Capital Partners, a leading late-stage growth company investor. As a director of the Deepwatch board of directors, Mr. Bash joins other members including Mr. Thomas and Mike Avon, Venture Partner at ABS Capital Partners.
