Deepwatch Recognized as One of Forbes America’s Best Startup Employers 2024

Award win reinforces Deepwatch’s commitment to building a culture of innovation and belonging

TAMPA, FL – March 20, 2024 Deepwatch, the leading managed security platform for the cyber resilient enterprise, today announced that the company has been recognized as one of America’s Best Startup Employers 2024 by Forbes for the third consecutive year. Deepwatch is receiving this prestigious award for its reputation, employee satisfaction, and growth, reinforcing its importance as a startup performing exceedingly well nationally. According to Forbes, considerable research shows that businesses that prioritize employee happiness have workers who are more engaged and productive.

“We are honored to be presented this award by Forbes for the third straight year. Our ability to attract and retain the best employee talent is key to our ability to provide our customers with the highest quality cybersecurity services and solutions that allow them to stay cyber resilient,” said  Mye Bahamonde, VP of People for Deepwatch. “The company has worked hard to achieve this reputation, and we appreciate being recognized for this. The hard work it takes to make Deepwatch the world class cybersecurity employer is worth it when we see how the results translate to customer value.”

This is Forbes’ sixth annual list of America’s Best Startup Employers, and is done in partnership with the market research firm Statista. The list is compiled by evaluating 3,000 privately-held companies headquartered in the U.S. that employ more than 50 people and were founded between 2014 and 2021. The companies were evaluated on three primary criteria: company reputation, employee satisfaction and growth. The final list ranks the top 500 employers. Each startup listed must also have been started from scratch, as opposed to being a spinoff of a larger corporation.

As part of its evaluation, Statista used text analysis to review and capture employee sentiment in articles, blogs and social media posts about each employer, searching for specific phrases such as “corporate culture” and “employee engagement.” Statista also evaluated employee satisfaction through online reviews, employee retention rates, and company policies relating to topics such as diversity and inclusion, parental leave, and workplace flexibility. Growth was assessed by examining the organizations’ website traffic, job openings, and head counts over a two-year period.
