What is Endpoint Security?

An endpoint in security is any technology that communicates on a network that it is connected to. This can include laptops, smartphones, servers, and more. Endpoint security is an approach to secure the network endpoints they are connected to, to make sure they are not used to gain unauthorized access to the network and the data held within it. Businesses deploy endpoint security technologies and processes to make sure that only authorized devices can connect to the network and unauthorized devices are blocked.
